As the Managing Director for NFP, Billy plays a crucial role in driving growth across Corporate Benefits, Property and Casualty (P&C), and Individual Solutions. He focuses on scaling NFP’s presence in South Florida, fostering community relationships, and enhancing brand awareness. Previously, he served as President of NFP’s Northeast region, overseeing strategic and operational activities that led to it becoming the largest region with over 1,000 employees and projected revenues of $350M in 2021.
With over 25 years in the industry, Billy co-founded AGS Benefits Group and Alterity, both of which were acquired by NFP in 2011, and began his career at Sun Life Financial. He serves on the NFP Ventures investment committee, demonstrating a strong commitment to innovative solutions in healthcare, fintech, and HR tech. Billy holds a bachelor’s degree in government and history from Bowdoin College, is a co-founded and is a partner in B-Fore Capital, LLC and currently serves on the boards of Avon Old Farms School and Hudson Valley Fitness, LLC.
Is a seasoned board member with extensive experience across various leadership roles, including President and COO, Senior Vice President, Partner, and multiple board positions. With over 20 years of experience in the consulting industry as an information technology and business leader, Phil has a proven track record of guiding organizations through business, system, and process transformations.
A champion of innovation and community service, Phil supports local startups and volunteers with the American Heart Association and Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation. He holds a B.S. from The College of William and Mary and an MBA from The George Washington University.

With expertise in identity, collaboration, mobile, and security markets, he has successfully navigated ventures through mergers, IPOs, and acquisitions, driving enterprise value through product development and strategic partnerships.
Currently advising companies in cybersecurity and identity verification, Steve played a key role in building Acuant, a global leader in identity and digital fraud, which was acquired by GB Group. He also co-founded SolutionPoint International and i3 Mobile, leading i3 to a successful IPO.
